Prices displayed on the website
Catalog amounts are reference prices in US dollars and exclude applicable sales, use or similar transaction taxes. Freight, installation and optional services are also excluded unless expressly shown. The reviewed order provides the final itemized total.
How tax is determined
Tax treatment may depend on the delivery destination, billing details, product, services and transaction type. Provide a complete and accurate address before the order is finalized. If the destination or order scope changes, the tax calculation may also change.
Florida orders
Florida sales and use tax and any applicable county discretionary sales surtax may apply. Northern identifies the tax on the written order rather than placing one assumed rate on every catalog page.
Exemptions and resale documentation
Send a current resale certificate or other supporting exemption document before paying. An exemption applies only after Northern reviews and accepts the documentation for the transaction. A company name or tax identification number by itself does not make the order tax-exempt.
Changes, refunds & records
A cancellation, return or order adjustment may change the taxable amount. Any approved tax refund follows the related order refund and applicable law. Keep the invoice and accepted exemption records for your files.
