Buyer’s guide & FAQ.
A practical path from the first shortlist to a confirmed equipment order. Start with the job, then compare the configurations.
Choose the right department
For a place to live, compare container homes, expandable units and modular configurations. For a workspace, compare portable offices and site sheds. For facilities, compare bathroom pods and toilet blocks. For a lower budget and your own labour, compare the flat-pack kits.
Compare more than the price
Review condition, dimensions, included equipment and the intended use. Catalog prices are references. Freight, tax, site works and installation can change the total project cost.
Understand condition labels
New, used, refurbished and as-is describe different starting points. Request current photos and unit-specific details. A listing marked “condition to confirm” should be discussed before accepting a quote.
Check fit and compatibility
For a finished unit, check usable floor area, ceiling height, openings and site placement. For an expandable unit, check both the packed and opened dimensions against the access route and the pad. For a kit, confirm the component list, assembly time and the trades needed to connect services.
Request the paperwork you need
Tell Northern which inspection, certification, warranty or registration documents are required for the intended use. Confirm what can be supplied with the exact unit instead of relying on a category-wide assumption.
Place an order request
Add equipment to your cart and submit the contact and delivery details. Keep the request reference. Review the written equipment scope, timing, final total and payment instructions before proceeding.
